Gene Balk / FYI Guy
He is a columnist for The Seattle Times. He reports mostly on local news and the reality of living in Seattle. Balk informs the people in what is really going on. The first article, No major city has enough affordable housing to meet demand, but how does Seattle stack up?, is comparing Seattle to other cities in terms of affordable living. The second article, Seattle just one of 5 big metros last year that had more people move here than leave, census data show, is comparing Seattle to other metro areas and how many people had to move because of it. The third article, Seattle taxes ranked most unfair in Washington — a state among the harshest on the poor nationwide, is comparing Seattle taxes and the taxes the other cities of Washington have to pay. In all the articles, they seem to be comparing Seattle to other places in the US and shows how bad Seattle is off. Also they all have a picture at the top and have quotes of people who live in Seattle. They all are long articles and none of them were short. The differences are that he talks about different subjects even if they are all negative. Other differences is the amount of statistics in the articles because some of the articles have more than others.
